On October 5, 2008, a gathering of former teachers, students, present teachers, principals, and stand in students, along with Rahway High students in the Audio Visual department came together to film a video of Madison School in her early years.  John Ludwig, former student, now of California, was the man of the hour as Director.   Dr. Anthony Palisi, former English teacher, was among the stars of the day.

We can not go without acknowledging the efforts of Regina Schweitzer Holmes who served as advance person for arranging the use of the school and who was present for a good part of the day.  It was she who got the announcement on local TV.  Gina is the daughter of the late Dr.. Harold C. Schweitzer, an original faculty member. We thank Mr. Frank Buglione, current superintendent of school for his help,  and the supportive assistance of Fran Gavin, current principal of Madison School who remained the entire day in the building.

Again we thank Ruth Lambert Hardy for her high energy and help with the props and Joyce Tortoriello as historian for the taping.

We are grateful for all the former students who came out to cheer on this project.  Please feel free to upload any photos you may have of the event.

Watch this site for information regarding the DVD that will be offered late this year.

Small world stuff: Mr. Delmonaco and Dr.Palisi were colleagues, working for the Rahway Recreation Department, and Arlene's brother, the late Arthur DeLorenzo, was a high school classmate of Dr.Palisi.
